Lemongrass essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the Cymbopogon citratus plant through steam distillation. The oil has sweet, citrus aroma and is yellow in colour with watery viscosity. It has the potential to revitalise the body and to calm any symptoms of excessive tiredness. It can also relieve headaches and has been known to help fight neurotic exhaustion and stress. It tones the body and is considered a nervous system booster, which is useful when healing different diseases as it assists in stimulating the endocrine glands.
