Karanja oil, also known as Pongamia oil, is a richly emollient, high-viscosity oil derived from the seeds of the Pongamia Glabra tree. Renowned for its omega-9 fatty acid content, it is highly effective in nourishing dry, flaky skin, calming irritated scalps, and helping to repair severely damaged hair. Additionally, its high concentration of flavonoids—particularly karanjin and pongamol—offers antioxidant benefits and is known to support the skin’s defense against the visible effects of UV radiation.
